Mixing the history of HTTP, SPDY and HTTP/2.0

Yesterday, from Doha’s international airport, I got the chance to blog about the latest changes surrounding the upcoming major version of the protocol of the web, HTTP/2.0.

Today I gave, at the International PHPConference in Mainz, an overview about HTTP (0.9, 1.0, 1.1), SPDY and HTTP/2.0 itself.

There’s not that much to say, as the presentation is already on Slideshare and I’m embedding it here, other than a thing the guys here in Germany already heard a lot: go back to the basics.

Hi there! I recently wrote an ebook on web application security, currently sold on leanpub, the Amazon Kindle store and gumroad.

It contains 160+ pages of content dedicated to securing web applications and improving your security awareness when building web apps, with chapters ranging from explaining how to secure HTTP cookies with the right flags to understanding why it is important to consider joining a bug bounty program.

Feel free to skim through some of the free chapters published on this blog and, if the content seems interesting enough to you, grab a copy on leanpub, the Amazon Kindle store, gumroad or simply checkout right down below!
